New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party  MP Kirti Azad on Thursday said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar cannot do anything without the support of ruling party at the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the Janata Dal (United) leader should rethink on his party’s alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Azad alleged that Nitish, who was once a part of the NDA, is now running ‘jungle raaj-2’ in Bihar with his new coalition partners.
“Nitish ji knows that he can’t do anything without the BJP and Modi ji….He should rethink on his alliance with Lalu Yadav’s RJD,” he said.
The BJP leader from Bihar also welcomed Nitish’s move to meet Prime Minister Modi.
“I hope that he will talk about development and not indulge in any sort of politics. He understands the betrayal that he committed with the people of Bihar and will now do everything possible for the betterment of Bihar. He will also talk about the demand for Mithilanchal,” said Azad.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Chief Minister has arrived at South Block here for his meeting with Prime Minister Modi.
This is the first time that both leaders will meet after Modi became the Prime Minister and Nitish came back as Bihar Chief Minister.
He is expected to raise the issue of special status to Bihar.
The special status issue has been a long standing demand from the ruling JD (U) in Bihar.
Nitish, who seems to have set aside his hostility towards Prime Minister Modi, is also expected to discuss financial issues of Bihar with the latter.
The duo had not missed any opportunity to attack each other and Modi’s elevation in the BJP had prompted Nitish to pull the JD (U) out of the NDA.  (ANI)
