Miscreants arrested
On March 26 at around 8.15 pm, acting on inputs regarding presence of suspicious persons in a local taxi (ML-10-7389) near Reliable Service Station, Mawlai Nongkwar, GS Road, Shillong, Police arrested four occupants  Pynshai Rani (32),  Sana Hari Jamatia (23), Shur Jamatia (28) and  Pukmon Gurung (35) . Police recovered and seized one air pistol, four pellets, one dagger and one cell-phone from their possession.
Policemen injured  
On March 26 at around 1 pm, one Maruti Gypsy (ML-02-2261) driven by SI Herwood Thabah (35), Officer in charge Mairang police station dashed against a bazaar bus (ML-06-5886) at 4th Miles, Upper Shillong. As a result, the officer and two occupants of Maruti Gypsy, UBC Saleng R Marak and Shemphang Rabon sustained injuries and were removed to CH Shillong from where the OC was referred to NEIGRIHMS.
NGT  ban violations continue  
On March 25 at around 9 pm, Police detected and seized one truck (ML-10A-5859) driven by Silverwell Kharshohnoh at Umsning NH-40 (RB) while transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police arrested the driver.
G Kharmih, EAC, Khliehriat lodged a complaint that on March 25, he detected three trucks (ML-05H-8723, ML-04-0872 & A/F) driven by  Lumlin Phawa,  Luria Nongtdu and  Sakial respectively at Khliehriat (EJH) while transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police seized the trucks and arrested the drivers.
P. Lhuid, SDO, PWD lodged a complaint that on March 24, he detected two trucks (ML-11-0205 & AS-01-BC-9726) driven by Kwel Shuja and Dameban Lamare respectively at Ratacherra Exit Point (EJH) while transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police seized the trucks and arrested the drivers.
On March 24, Police detected and seized one truck (AS-02-NC-6014) driven by Deibor Sumer at Lumshnong (EJH) while transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police arrested the driver.
On March 24, Police detected and seized three trucks (ML-04-9882, ML-04A-1971) and one without registration number  driven by Leader Rymbai, Julmon Dkhar and Heibormi Siangshai respectively at Lumshnong (EJH) while transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police arrested the drivers.
