NONGSTOIN: Nongstoin Police on Friday night detected four coal laden trucks (ML-10-6122, ML 06-3373, ML 06 5733 and ML 06-5667) from Nongpyndeng area while conducting vehicle checking to prevent the illegal transportation of coal.
Two drivers were arrested while another two managed to escape in the dark of the night.
The arrested drivers have been identified as John Myrthong of Tynrong Mawsaw and Skhemborlang Nongphud of Mawiawet.
The trucks which were deserted by the drivers belong to Matyr ZK Jahrin and Khwerly Lyngkhoi of Siejlieh.
