Shillong: The Occult defeated Sporting Club by 7 runs in the Second Division Knock Out Cricket Tournament 2015 organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo, on Saturday.
The occult elected to bat first and scored 104 losing 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Saquib Hussain topscored with an unbeaten 43 runs off 37 balls and Sanjay Das 24 runs off 25 balls. Sanjeev Rai and Gopal Sunar took 2 wickets for Sporting Club.
In reply, Sporting were dismissed for 97 runs in 20 overs. Robert Ralte scored 33 runs off 30 balls and Goal Sunar was unbeaten on 21 runs off 14 balls. Arun Tamang and Kaushik Das took 2 wickets each for The Occult.
