6 die, 5 injured in road mishap

Kohima: Six persons, including a woman, were killed and five got injured when a taxi plunged into a gorge near Tseminyu Old Town, some 42 km from the state capital, a police officer said on Tuesday.
The SUV, carrying 11 persons, skidded off the road yesterday afternoon and went down about 2000 feet below the road killing four on the spot, the officer said.
Two others succumbed to injuries on way to Tseminyu Hospital, the officer said. Two of the five injured, including the driver, have been shifted to Kohima with serious head injuries, the officer said. (PTI)
