Nagaland body reiterates anti-violence resolution

Kohima: The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has reiterated its December 18, 2007 resolution, which opposes any form of bloodshed, threat, intimidation or violence within its jurisdiction.
In a press statement ENPO president S Khoiwang Konyak and general secretary Manlang Phom said the resolution has been reaffirmed over the years and since then, based on public demand it was unanimously affirmed and pledged by the meeting during a Historic Summit at Tuensang headquarters.
The ENPO resolved that it will not extend any public cooperation to any faction or group for non-compliance of the resolution in the public interest for peace and tranquility within its jurisdiction.
It also appealed to both the Chang and Yimchunger public to adhere to the resolutions. (UNI)
