Directive for payment of salaries and pension benefits

Guwahati: The Assam government’s Finance (Budget) Department on Friday issued a directive for the  payment of salary and pension benefits for the month of April 2015 without insisting on budget allocation, subject to subsequent adjustment from budget allocation of the fiscal year 2015-16.
The directive was issued to all the Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) and Treasury Officers, that all kinds of salary or the wages or the work-charged and muster roll payment as well as Grants-in-Aid bills for payment of salary and pension benefits, an official release said here on Friday.
The move came into effect  after it was noticed by the authorities that the salaries and pensions of state government employees and pensioners in few departments and also in few treasuries for the month of April, have not been disbursed till date for want of budget allocation from the administrative departments concerned for the particular purpose.
Moreover, it was also issued that the claims submitted by the authorities of Autonomous Councils for payment of salary/ wages/ work-charged and muster roll payment/ Grants-in-Aid for payment of salary for the month of April may was alsoto be set loose, the press release later informed (PTI)
