Theft

Tredamiki Bareh lodged a complaint that his brother Heimon Bareh stole cash, gold ornaments and clothes valued around Rs. 1 lakh from his residence at Chutwakhu, Jowai (WJH). The accused has been arrested.

Body recovered

On May 18 at around 8.30 am, body of one Sidhartha Deb (38) was recovered from near Micasa Hotel, Keating Road, Shillong. Necessary formalities have been observed.
On May 14 at around 10.30 pm, body of Sanjay M. Momin was recovered from a footpath near Fishery Colony, Williamnagar (EGH).In this connection, Police arrested Hitler K. Sangma (31),  Kisan Rai (27), Madhumai Sinha (31) and Anil Kumar Saha (24 yrs).

Abduction

Starling Pohkyrnu of Dkhiah West (EJH) lodged a complaint that on the night of May 17, one Sapha Paslein took his daughter Merciful Amse to one truck driver (name of the driver and registration number of the truck not known) who later abducted her.

One knocked down

On May 17 at around 1.30 pm, one truck (TR-01R-1685) fatally knocked down one minor boy Konjoy Subba (7) at Deinchynrum, NH-44 (EJH).
On May 7 at around 3.45 pm, one scooter (ML-05B-5199) ridden by Orestar Gatphoh knocked down Rani Biswa at Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

One stabbed

On May 17 at around 5 pm, one Chandraballi Ray stabbed his wife Lakshmi A. Sangma at Akonggre, Tura (WGH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital at Guwahati.

Stone pelting incident

Daphisha Lamare lodged a complaint that on May 17 at around 9.30 am, one Bilkis Lamare pelted stones at her and her family members at Laitkor, Wahsohkha (EKH).

Damage to property

Dominic S. Lamare lodged a complaint that on May 17 at around 9.30 am, four persons Andriana Lamare, Daphisha Lamare, Martina Lamare and Elias Dhar went near his compound at

Laitkor, Wahsohka (EKH), damaged a portion of the boundary fencing and threatened him with dire consequences.

Assault

On May 17 at around 1.30 am, unknown miscreants assaulted Krit Mawlong (30) near Mawlai petrol pump, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On May 14 night, one Ranjan Boro attacked Akhil Kalita with a sharp weapon at Khanapara (RB). As a result, victim sustained injuries. Police arrested the accused.
NGT ban violation
On May 16 afternoon, Police detected one truck (ML-05A-0794) belonging to one Lam Lyngdoh and driven by Teishwa Lyngdoh, while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Kongong / Mookhep area (EJH).Police seized the truck and arrested the owner and driver of the truck.
Marpius Ch. Marak lodged a complaint (May 14) that one Dilip Choudhury and Brenarzee B. Sangma were illegally extracting coal at Nawak (EGH) and dumping the same at Dobu Coal Depot, in violation of NGT order. When the complainant tried to intervene, he was threatened with dire consequences and asked to pay Rs. 1 Crore.

Money looted

Sumarjit Singha lodged a complaint that on May 16 at around 3.30 am, three unidentified masked miscreants armed with pipe-guns, went to a Sawmill at Mawiaban, Nongstoin (WKH) and robbed Rs. 1,42,000/- and one cell phone with SIM card from him

Rape attempt

On May 15 at around 11.30 am, one Salseng R. Marak attempted to rape a five-year-old girl at Leprosy Colony, Tura (WGH).

Motorcycle stolen

On May 14 at around 1 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-07B-4585) from the residence of Artich Marak at Rongbing Boldak (EGH).
On May 14, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08-6560) belonging to Dekun Sangma from Lower Rongbu (NGH).
On May 13, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-8522) belonging to Torak Marak from his residence at Upper Chandmari, Tura (WGH).

Woman missing

Porilla Sangma lodged a complaint that on May 13, her mentally unstable daughter Selitha Sangma (35) was found missing from her residence at Jampara village (NGH).
Lucy M Sangma lodged a complaint that on May 12, her mother Stella M Sangma was found missing from her residence at Salpara village (NGH).

LPG cylinder stolen

On May 10, unknown miscreants stole one LPG cylinder from the official quarter of Sengrak G. Momin at District Statistical office, Dakopgre, Tura (WGH).
