Manipur bandh to protest against alleged encroachment

Imphal: A 24-hour Manipur bandh has been called from midnight on Friday to protest against alleged land encroachment by Nagaland at Manipur’s boundary with its neighbour at Dzuko Valley in Senapati district.
A press release to this effect was issued by the Committee for Koziirii-Dzuko Land Boundary Resolution in association with Mao Council and Civil Society organisations of Mao area of Senapati district district on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh  reiterted that “Dzuko valley is Manipur’s land”. (PTI)
