The Padma Awards – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri – will be announced on the occasion of Republic Day 2016. Intending individuals from East Khasi Hills who desire their names to be recommended to the government for the Award have to send their nominations to the DC Office, East Khasi Hills on or before August 20.
