GHADC poll: BJP ready for alliance

SHILLONG: As UDP and NPP are trying to strike a deal to take on Congress in the upcoming GHADC elections, the State BJP is now exploring the possibility of a pre-poll alliance with likeminded parties.

Indicating this here on Tuesday, Meghalaya BJP general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty said that talks in this regard was going on and BJP would ensure defeat of Congress in October 12 polls.

The party is yet to finalise the number of candidates it would field in the GHADC elections. He also claimed that people in Garo Hills have started accepting the party and hoped that the party would do well in the elections.
