TURA: After several controversies encircling the GHADC poll, the Garo National Council (GNC) has released the first list of candidates for October 12 hustings.
Those who found place in the first list are Augustine R Marak (3-Silkigre), Wenison Ch Marak (4-Rongrikimgre) and Jinberth R Marak (8-Amongpara).
The final list of candidates will be declared shortly, the party said in a statement on Wednesday.
As UDP and NPP are trying to strike a deal to take on Congress in the upcoming GHADC elections, the State BJP is now exploring the possibility of a pre-poll alliance with likeminded parties.
