SHILLONG: The young lady, whose body was found on September 7 near Assam Rifles Bazar, Happy Valley, was murdered, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, someone had smashed her head with some blunt object which indicates that it was a clear case of murder. No one has been arrested in connection with the crime.
The woman, who is at the age group of 25-30 years, has not been identified.
Post-mortem of the body has been conducted and investigation was on to trace out the murderer, police added .
