Chinapa to hit Shillong with Submerge Dance Project

In a first of its kind, In dia’s leading dance mu sic portal, Submerge is spreading its wings and exploring the Northeast with ‘Submerge Dance Project’.
Submerge events have featured names like Swedish House Mafia, Tommy Trash, Richie Hawtin, Pierce Fulton,  John OO Fleming, DBN, Shogun, Style of Eye and Michael Woods. Submerge in association with CPEN (Centre Point Entertainment Network) are bringing Submerge Dance Project to the Scotland of the East-Shillong  with Swedish heavyweight Albin Myers supported by the pioneer and face of dance music in India- Nikhil Chinapa and Nawed Khan.
CPEN announced its arrival with a bang by presenting Michael Learns to Rock concert in Shillong in 2005. Later on it went to organizing the Eric Martin: Voice of Mr Big concert and the biggest ever Rock concert in North East to a sellout crowd of 35,000 in 2007, Scorpions.
Submerge’s foray into the Northeast with CPEN aims to set the roots of dance music in the region.
The show, Submerge Dance Project,  is slated to be held at Orchid Lake Resort on October 3.
Submerge is India’s leading dance music portal. Founded in 2003 by Nikhil Chinapa, Pearl, and Hermit Sethi, Submerge’s goal is simple: to connect Indian dance music fans with the best DJs from around the world.
It may be mentioned that Swedish luminary Albin Myers is one of the fastest rising and promising stars of the electronic music world. Meanwhile, from being a DJ to VJ to MC to music promoter to festival director, Nikhil Chinapa has done it all. As a popular VJ, Nikhil got to spend a lot of time around his first love, music. In 2001, a conversation between friends resulted in the launch of Submerge – India’s first and now largest Indian Electronic Dance Music (EDM) company. As a booking agency, artist management company, and concert promoter, Submerge works to grow the Indian music scene at all levels.
