London: Bollywood’s Badman Gulshan Grover was invited for a dinner by the heir to the British throne, Prince Charles, at Dumfries House here. They are even said to have discussed how the Scottish mansion could be used for a song-and-dance sequence in an Indian film.
“It was an honour to be invited. I was really amazed at the royal estate in Dumfries and requested him to make it available for a Bollywood film. It is a perfect setting, I feel,” a website quoted Gulshan as saying.
“Being the gentleman that he is, he agreed in principle to let it happen. I am hoping to return to shoot for a movie, or at least all the dancing song sequence of my new film,” the 59-year-old, who was last seen in “Kaun Kitney Panee Mein”, added.
A Clarence House spokesman declined to comment on the “private” dinner.
It came before Charles met TV presenters Ant and Dec, who are filming a documentary about the Prince’s Trust charity, at Dumfries House.
Gulshan, who reportedly met Prince Charles earlier this week, added: “I hope he comes to India soon and look forward to taking him to the film studios. I believe he is making a real difference in the UK and he can do the same in India.” (IANS)
