Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow marked his 42nd birth anniversary by launching a foundation in the actor’s name, aimed to protect the oceans and wildlife.
Walker, best known for his role as Brian O’ Conner in the Fast and Furious, started an organisation ‘Reach Out World Wide,’ to assist in disaster relief efforts around the world and Meadow wants to continue that work, reported E! Online.
The 16-year-old shared a childhood photo of hers with him and announced she has founded the Paul Walker Foundation, which will also provide grants and scholarships to marine science students and researchers.
“Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill.
“I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my father,” Meadow wrote in an Instagram post.
Walker’s Fast and Furious co-stars Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, and Nathalie Emmanuel paid him birthday tribute on social media.
“Happy Birthday @RealPaulWalker #WishYouWereHere,” wrote Nathalie Emmanuel. WWE wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to remember his friend and co-actor.
“Happy birthday brother. Grateful you were born. #Ohana #PaulWalkerFoundation #DoGood.”
“Happy Birthday to my Brother @paulwalker #gonebutnotforgotten #rip,” Ludacris posted on Instagram.
