Minors allegedly raped
On Sept 14 around 11 am, one Buwelstar Lyngdoh Marshillong raped a fourteen-year-old girl in her residence at Lawse village (WKH).
On Sept 14, a man lodged a complaint that in August, 2015, one Saiborli Nongphud had raped his fourteen-year-old sister at Mawlieh village (WKH).
Woman allegedly gang raped
One lady of Nongkharai village (RB) lodged a complaint that on Sept 9 afternoon, three persons Donborlang Lyngkhoi, Roki Lyngdoh Nonglait and Teiborlang Wahlang, raped her daughter after they forced her to consume liquor. Police arrested the accused persons.
House burgled, one held
On Sept 14 around 7 pm, unknown miscreants broke into the residence of Philisila Pyrtuh at Namdong village (WJH) and stole cash Rs. 1,50,000, two pair of Gold earrings, two pairs of gold rings and one cell phone. The villagers later apprehended one Talbinus @ Thalsius Dhar (22) of Mulieh village and handed him over to the Police. Matter is under investigation.
Assault
On Sept 13 at about 11 am, one Marbud Passah assaulted Kerdalin Dhar at Ialong, Jowai (WJH), causing injuries to her. Police arrested the accused.
Two wheeler theft
On Sept 13 around 7.30 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole one Scooty (ML-05M-7823) belonging to Bimola Kumari Chettri from Barapathar, Shillong, Matter is under enquiry.
On Sept 11 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-6096) belonging to Britham Salseng Ch Marak from Chandmari, Tura (WGH).
Theft attempt
Akor Mynso lodged a complaint that on Sept 13 around 9 pm, her brother Marleki Mynso attempted to steal iron rods from their residence at Mookaiaw village (WJH) and also threatened her with dire consequences. Police arrested the accused.
Looting case
On Sept 12 around 5.30 pm, two unidentified armed miscreants looted Rs. 70,000 from the shop of Raju Shah at Na’jing Bazar, Tura (WGH).
Threat call
Kennichy G Momin lodged a complaint that she has continuously received calls from an anonymous person who also threatened her with dire consequences.
Accident case
Nisha Saraf lodged a complaint that on Aug 8 around 9.30 am, one Scooty (ML-05M-3280) ridden by Wanbhalang Thabah knocked down her younger brother Ankit Kumar Saraf at Jingkieng, Nongthymmai, Shillong. As a result the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
Fraud case
Lapongshai Pyngrope lodged a complaint that on Nov 29, 2014 she had signed an agreement with Gracian Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., as consignment agent to distribute the medicines in Meghalaya. However, till date the complainant received nothing from the company.
