Aizawl:The autumn session of the Mizoram Assembly has been summoned by the state governor from October 6.
The Assembly Business Advisory Committee (BAC) which met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Speaker Hiphei decided that the session would stretch for 16 days while the actual sitting days would be 12.
The state annual budget for the current fiscal would be presented in the Assembly by the Finance Minister Lalsawta which would be discussed by the House from October 14-21.
Lalsawta,who had sought vote-on-account for two times- April to July and August to October, said the would have to present the full budget as the state had been going on vote-on-accounts for more than half of the fiscal.
He said, “I could not present the full state budget because of absence on clarity on the plan outlay and on sharing pattern of Centrally Sponsered Scheme (CSS), non-lapsable central pool of resources (NLCPR) and fund to be received from the (NEC). (PTI)
