School silver jubilee function inaugurated

NONGSTOIN: The silver jubilee celebration of Mawiong Lumsyntiew Secondary School, Nongstoin, was inaugurated on Tuesday by KHADC Deputy Chairman, Gabriel Wahlang, in the presence of T. Ryntathiang, Block Mission Coordinator, SSA, Nongstoin Unit.
The programme was chaired by Badondorlin Hojoon, Headmistress cum Secretary of the School Managing Board. She highlighted the story of the school during the past 25 years which began under a private management.
Wahlang expressed his appreciation to the founders of the school and the Ssecretary of the Managing Committee for their endeavor and vision to impart basic education to the local villagers.
Before the speech, the chief guest lighted the candle to mark the inauguration of the school silver jubilee celebration.
Various invitees including parents and relatives of the students witnessed the celebrations on the day.
