Cattle smugglers apprehended

KALAICHAR: The BSF troops deployed at Kalaichar, South West Garo Hills apprehended six Indian cattle smugglers near zero line while they were smuggling the cattle, eight in number, to Bangladesh.
The smugglers have been identified as Manirisal Islam (24), Bilal Miya (23), Md. Nabir Islam (35), Faizur Haque (42), S.K, Ribadul Islam (19) and Md. Salam Miya (28), all residents of Dakergram village of Dhubri district in Assam.
The BSF troops also seized over 100 cows/bulls, 97 Cft logs, over 428 bottles of liquor, 3.5 tons of coal and other contraband items worth over Rs. 20 lakh in last one week.
