Prohibitory Order imposed in North, South Garo Hills

TURA: The Deputy Commissioners of North and South Garo Hills have imposed section 144 CrPC in their respective districts in view of the upcoming GHADC elections.
Under the section prohibition has been issued against the carrying of weapons/arms, flammable substances, use of loud speakers in public gatherings, organization of rallies without permission, use of schools, roads or other government premises for political gatherings/meetings and the distribution of pamphlets in public space which will come into immediate effect. However, the order will not apply to armed or para military forces and other law enforcing agencies on lawful deployment.
