Athiya Shetty, who has     forayed into Bolly wood with “Hero”, says sharing screen space with her father and actor Suniel Shetty will be a “weird” experience for her.
“Acting with dad will be weird. I will be scared most of the time,” Athiya told IANS, adding that if given a chance, she’d love to dance on the beats of her father’s popular song “Shehar ki ladki”.
“If I have to choose a song, which is being remade, then it would surely be ‘Shehar ki ladki’,” said the actress, who opted for remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 film “Hero” to foray into the Hindi film world.
Athiya, who has earlier confessed that she hid her acting passion from her father fearing his reaction, has stepped into showbiz alongside actor Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj in superstar Salman Khan’s co-production venture “Hero”.
The emerging star also notes that competition is not on her mind as most of Bollywood’s young talent, including Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra, have already proven themselves on the big screen. And she knows it’s just the beginning for her.
“Alia, Parineeti and Shraddha Kapoor… all of them are extremely talented. They have proved themselves as actors and have proved themselves as singers, dancers, and as artistes. I have barely stepped into the industry,” she said.  Will she ever sing?
Calling herself a “bathroom singer”, Athiya, however, said, she would love to sing for a movie if she is ever asked to. (IANS)
