World Rabies Day
The East Khasi Hills District Unit of Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association will celebrate World Rabies Day on September 28. To mark the occasion, the District Unit will organise an anti-rabies vaccination camp at Laitkor and Nongkrem veterinary dispensary.
.The  Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association, Ri Bhoi Unit  will also observe  World Rabies Day by conducting an essay writing  competition on  September 28 at Klew Presbyterian  Secondary School.
.Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association Garo Hills unit will celebrate World Rabies Day under the theme “Let’s join our hands against rabies and make it a history”.
Body Building Championship
The Meghalaya Body Builders Association will hold the 41st State Body Building Championship and selection trial for East India, Junior and Senior Championship on October 5 at U Soso Tham Auditorium. Forms are available at the office of the Meghalaya Body Builders Association at Jail Road.
Music fest
The Department of Sociology, Lady Keane College will host a music festival “Awaken Humanity” on September 24 in the sports complex of the college at 11 am.
Eid Ul Azha
The Shillong Muslim Union has informed that Eid Ul Azha will be celebrated in the city on September 25.
NCC seminar
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group, Shillong will organize a two-day seminar from September 28 to 29 at St. Anthony’s College Auditorium. Deputy Chief Minister, R. C. Laloo will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Farewell
The Student Bar Association on behalf of the Shillong Law College has invited students of 2012-2015 batch to the farewell function to be held on September 24 in the college premises at 1 pm.
Seng Samla award
Seng Samla Wahingdoh, will organize the XXI Educational Award 2015 at Wahingdoh Community Hall on September 25 at 1.30 pm. Home minister Roshan Warjri will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Lecture
Women’s College, Shillong is organising the Seventh Pundit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar National Endowment Lecture on the theme, ‘Interrogating Nineteenth Century Renaissance and Reconstructing Worldview’ on September 26 at  1:00 P.M. The guest speaker on the occasion will be Prof Tapodhir Bhattacharjee, former Vice Chancellor, Assam University.
