Former Guns N’ Roses star Slash to perform in India

Grammy award win    ning Slash, a former     guitarist of cult rock band Guns N’Roses, is heading to India to give music fans in the country a headbanging experience of a lifetime.
Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators will be headlining the rock music and adventure sports festival MTV Indies Xtreme, on their first ever India tour, during which they will promote their new album “World on Fire”.
It will release in India in October via Sony Music.
The band members are Slash, lead vocalist Myles Kennedy, an American musician and singer-songwriter best known as a member of the rock band Alter Bridge; bassist and vocalist Todd Kerns; drummer Brent Fitz and vocalist-cum-guitarist Frank Sidoris.
Excited about their first India tour, Slash said in a statement: “I’m really looking forward to taking our ‘World On Fire tour’ to India for the first time ever at MTV Indies Xtreme’.”
MTV Indies Xtreme — a concept by LIVE Viacom18 in partnership with MTV Indies — will be held in Mumbai on November 7, followed by Bangalore on November 14. Tickets for the same will be available from Friday. On curating the power-packed event, Jaideep Singh, senior vice president and business head – LIVE Viacom18, said: “First year with Megadeth and now with the debut tour of all time rock legend Slash, MTV Indies Xtreme enters in to a new phase and it will only get bigger from here on.” (IANS)
