Seminar on sacred dances held

Shillong: A seminar on sacred dance was held on Sunday at Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai.
A one-minute silence was also observed to pay homage to one of Meghalaya’s oldest and longest serving legislator, Hoping Stone Lyngdoh.  Assistant Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong, Swami Vedasaranananda Maharaj graced the event as the guest of honour.
The Buddhist Dance, Garo Dance, Mao Naga Dance, Lyngam Dance, Hindu Dance, Boro Dance, Christian Dance, Adivasi Dance, Tripuri Dance, Manipuri Dance, Santali Dance and Seng Khasi Dance were performed by the participants.
