Bangladeshis held
On October 1 at around 8.30 am, BSF personnel of Lejri BOP (East Jaintia Hills) apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals Md. Kaisar Ahmed (19 yrs) and Md. Mustafa Ahmed (32 yrs) from Indo-Bangladesh border at Lejri (East Jaintia Hills). They were handed over to Police.
On September 28 at around 7 pm, VDP volunteers of Shymplong village (East Jaintia Hills) apprehended one Bangladeshi national Md. Kabir Uddin Choudhury while he was moving suspiciously in the village and was handed over to Police.
Accident
On October 2 evening, one Maruti Swift car (ML-05K-7428) driven by Alphius Mukhim collided with a local taxi (ML-05D-5071) driven by Iqram Dkhar at Jingkieng. Driver of the local taxi sustained minor injuries.
On October 2, around midnight, one Hyundai i-10 car (ML-05E-1342) driven by Amarjyoti Mazumdar dashed against a tree near SBI Main Branch, MG Road. A lady occupant (43 years) sustained injuries and was shifted to Nazareth Hospital.
Murder
On September 30 night, unknown miscreants murdered one Munna Bihari at Khliehriat Petrol Pump (East Jaintia Hills).
 Threat
On September 22 at around 6.30 pm, one Eberson Tangling threatened Linias Dkhar with dire consequences at Latyrke village (East Jaintia Hills).
Fraud
S. Naomi Zho lodged a complaint that in the third week of September she had ordered clothes and shoes online from M/s Allen Fashion Store and sent Rs. 14,000 to one Rangmandal Marak through SBI Laitumkhrah Branch. However, the complainant has not received the goods till date.
