Wangala Feston Nov 13
The Principal Secretary, General Administration (A) Department has informed that November 13 will be a State holiday on account of Wangala Festival.
Mission Indradhanush
The first round of Mission Indradhanush Phase II is being observed from October 7 to 14 at selected vaccination sites in all Districts and at all Government Health Centres. In view of this, the office of National Health Mission and State Health Department, Meghalaya, has urges all parents of children less than 2 years of age and pregnant women who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated to visit the nearest health centres for vaccination.
Beekeepers’ workshop
A workshop on up-gradation and integration of Beekeepers under the aegis of Integrated Basin Development & Livelihood Promotion Programme (IBDLP) was organized on Tuesday by Thadlaskein Enterprise Facilitation Centre at Jowai. The workshop was attended by beekeepers from Thadlaskein, Laskein and Amlarem.
Meeting
The General Meeting of the Meghalaya Mine Owners and Exporters Association will be held at Nongjri, South West Khasi Hills on October 9. All mine owners, coal Exporters have been requested to attend the meeting.
The annual general body meeting of the Central Government (Civil) Pensioners/family pensioners will be held at Sikdar Memorial Hall, Jail Road Boys Higher Secondary School at 10.30 am on October 10. Members of the association have been requested to attend the meet.
