SHILLONG: After missing out on the GHADC polls, the Trinamool Congress has decided to contest both the Nongstoin by-poll and the seven district council seats which have fallen vacant after the resignation of seven MDCs who are holding the post of legislators.
A Trinamool Congress party functionary said on Sunday that the party will put up candidates in the upcoming polls in the State.
Though there were plans for the party to put up candidates for the 2013 Assembly polls and the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, at the last minute, the party decided to wait and analyze the situation.
