Notice on coal transportation
The Secretary, Transport department, has informed that in compliance with the order of the National Green Tribunal on March 25, the weighbridge of Dalu, West Garo Hills to transport coal to Bangladesh and the weighbridge of Garampani, West Jaintia Hills, exiting to Assam will have to issue weighment certificates to all coal laden trucks that will pass through the weighbridges for a period of two months and until further orders.
Vigilance awareness
The North Eastern Council, Shillong, observed the inaugural day of Vigilance Awareness Week 2015 which is from October 26 to 31 at NEC, Shillong. Secretary, NEC and all the NEC officers and staff took the pledge in Hindi and English.
Foundation day
A function was held at Balika Hindi Vidyalaya, Shillong, to mark the foundation day of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The function was attended by more than hundred people from diverse fields. On the occasion a pledge was taken by the members to work untiringly towards making India a self confident, resurgent and mighty nation.
