SHILLONG: Notwithstanding allegations of leakage of question papers of the SSLC selection examination in Garo Hills, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi on Tuesday said that the tests will go on as scheduled as the authenticity of the leaked papers were yet to be verified.
It was on Monday evening that the general secretary of Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers’ Association (GHDSTEA) mailed a scanned copy of the MIL (Assamese) question paper to The Shillong Times claiming that the same has been leaked along with papers of six other subjects. The general secretary of the association also claimed that the leaked papers have reached many students.
“We have to verify whether the papers circulated are genuine. If we find that genuine papers were circulated to the students we will cancel the already held examinations,” Bakshi said.  The teacher had also alleged that students from Garobadha to Phulbari-Bolarbita area have access to the question papers. Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the State Education Department has already initiated an inquiry into the matter.
