The Principal, Pine Mount School, Shillong, has informed that in view of the public holiday on November 4 on account of Nongkrem Dance, candidates due to appear for the KG Counselling at the School will have to do so on November 5 at the allotted time.
Flash mob
The ‘Hometown Rebels’ of Shillong will perform flash mob on Oct 30 to promote the Indigenous Terra Madre 2015. They will perform at Don Bosco Point at 11am, St. Anthony’s College at noon and Khyndailad at 1:30pm.
Coral jubilee
Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers’ Association will observe its coral jubilee on October 30 at 1 pm at U Soso Tham Auditorium. Governor V. Shanmuganthan will be the chief guest.
Raffle draw deferred
Due to some unavailable circumstances the lucky draw for Shillong Polytechnic Golden Jubilee Celebration 2015 which was scheduled to be held on October 30 has been deferred to February 9, 2016.
General meeting

Demand
The Hynniewtrep National People’s Movement has demanded that political leaders should not mislead the people and sincerely address pending issues like the land border issue of Mawlasnai near the Jaintia Hills-Karbi Anglong border, and the poverty faced by the people in the rural areas.
