Constable dead

SHILLONG: An unarmed branch constable Paul G Momin died after he collapsed at Muktapur Police Post in West Jaintia Hills on Wednesday morning.
Police said that Momin was removed to Civil Hospital Ialong where the attending MO declared him brought dead.
West Jaintia Hills SP R. Muthu said the deceased constable was feeling sick and was unconscious after which he was taken to the hospital.
Preliminary reports suggest that the constable was an alcoholic, Muthu said, adding that a case has been registered and the matter was under investigation.
