SHILLONG: The State Congress is tight lipped as far as the fate of KHADC CEM PM Syiem is concerned.
Syiem has revolted against the Prevention of Disqualification (Members of the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya) Amendment Bill, 2015, to disallow MLAs from hold dual elected posts.
When reporters sought a comment from District Council Affairs Minister HDR Lyngdoh on the fate of Syiem on Thursday, the minister refused to say anything.
The Bill has its retrospective effect from October 1 and the KHADC CEM is still holding the post of MLA as well as MDC.
