SHILLONG: Three pressure groups – KSU, FKJGP and HNYF – have lamented that despite the assurance of the State government no visible progress has been made as far as setting up of entry and exit points to check influx was concerned.
The pressure groups wrote a letter to the chief minister, seeking an audience with him and added that the government has assured to insert the word ‘detection’ in the Benami Transaction draft bill besides assuring that the Bill will be introduced in the Assembly session but the same was never brought for discussion.
The groups also said the government had made a commitment that the residential bill would be introduced in the Assembly with certain amendments but nothing has been done yet.
