NONGPOH: The headmen of villages under Umsning on Friday rubbished the statement made by Mawhati MDC James Jylliang that the Rangbah Shnong of the concerned villages had withdrawn their opposition to the poultry farm of Agrovet Poultry Company located at 9-Mer and Mawthei.
The Mawhati MDC, who is also the Executive Member in charge Trade and Enforcement, had told a section of the media that the Rangbah Shnong of Umsning villages were no longer opposed to the poultry company. Following the statement the Rangbah Shnong of Umsning Lumumpih, Umsning Lum Roman, Umsning Proper A and Umsning Patarim held an emergency meeting to come clear on the matter.
“We are still firm on our opposition to the functioning of the poultry company,” the Rangbah Shnong of Umsning areas said.
