SHILLONG: Police have arrested four persons for allegedly abducting and raping a minor inside a car (ML-05H-4165) at different locations of the city.
The accused — Daniel L Nongrang, Brightstar Nongsiej, Amsolberg Lyngkhoi and Pynhunlang Uriah — abducted the 16-year-old victim from Nongshilliang, Shillong on October 31 and committed the crime, police said on Monday.
In a similar incident, two 15-year-old girls were allegedly abducted and raped by two persons in Garo Hills.
The two accused — Manseng N Sangma and Jinjin A Sangma (both of Balnanggre village, North Garo Hills) – are still at large.
