SHILLONG: The Synjuk Ki Nongshynshar Shnong ka Bri u Hynniewtrep (SNSBH), a organization of headmen,  has decided to skip the meeting convened by Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and instead sent a memorandum on Monday night demanding the fulfillment of seven demands.
The meeting with headmen was scheduled to be held at 4. 30 pm on Tuesday.
While rejecting the talks offer of the Government, the headmen’s body said that the government should fulfill the pending demands and this was highlighted in the memorandum sent to the Chief Minister.
The headmen reminded the Government that there would not be any change of stand on the November 4 deadline fixed for fulfillment of their various demands.
The president of headmen’s association W R Kharshiing said that the Chief Minister is silent on all their demands which compelled them to agitate.
