Theft
On November 5, one unknown miscreants stole one mobile phone and a wallet containing SIM card, passport photographs and Rs. 300 cash from the house of Tarkeswar Kalita at Nongrimbah, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
One Md. Faizul Hoque Laskar lodged a complaint that on October 31 while his truck (AS-24C-5165) loaded with vegetables was proceeding from Borpeta, Assam towards Hailakandi, Assam, twelve unidentified armed miscreants  in Bolero vehicle (number not known) intercepted the truck at Ladrymbai (WJH), forcibly diverted it to a nearby jungle where they off loaded the vegetables. One of the occupants of the truck namely, Md. Nizam Uddin Laskar managed to escape while two others are reportedly still missing.
FICN racketeer nabbed
On November 3, VDP volunteers apprehended two persons namely,  Kermi Phawa and Sarki Lyngdoh and recovered fake Indian currency notes (FICN) of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 denominations amounting to Rs. 22,000 from their possession. They were handed over to police at Raliang OP.
Cyber crime
On October 1, Prema Rana lodged a complaint that since June, she was getting disturbing and abusive messages in her facebook from unknown IDs. In Oct. 2015, she found that unknown persons had created fake facebook accounts in her name and used the same in sending the abusive messages.
Gun missing
On September 30, Gohin N Marak lodged a complaint that his licensed SBBL gun was missing from his house at Dawa Gittinggre, Williamnagar (EGH).
Truck missing
On September 22, Roaming Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that one truck (AS-01K-6780) loaded with clinker cement left M/s Lumshnong Star Cement Ltd., (EJH) for Sonapur, Assam but reportedly the truck has not reached its destination till date.
