Woman tortured
Reshma Siddique of Upper Jail Road lodged a complaint that on July  21, 2015 her husband  Liyakat Ali along with his elder sisters Nazma Begum and Sitara Begum and his nieces  Sofi and  Gapu, tortured her, demanded Rs. 5 lakh  from her father and also threatened her with dire consequences.
Murder
On November 9, body of  Gracefully Marwein who went missing since November 3,  was recovered from Nongshillong  in West Kkhasi Hills. Police suspected that the woman was murdered by her husband , Arful Kharbani.
Fraud
On November 3 Delis Mary Suja of Bhagyakul, Laitumkhrah, lodged a complaint that in between September 24 and November 3 one Dinesh Roy cheated her of Rs. 1,80,000 in a house construction deal.
Theft
On November 10, one Khraw Syiemiong stole a wallet containing Rs. 25,000 from the house of Darilyne Rapthap at Bivar Road, Shillong.
