TURA: Following intimation from the government that salary disbursement of contractual and temporary appointment in Government run LP Schools will only be extended till March, 2016, the teachers under the banner of the All Garo Hills Lower Primary School Contractual Teachers’ Association (AGHLPCTA) have sought absorption in their respective posts with immediate effect.
In their memorandum submitted to Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma the teachers argued that their services deserve to be considered as they had been serving without break and performing their normal duties sincerely since 2010.
They said that if it was the issue of taking the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), special privileges should be given to them including allowing those with marks below 45% and non DIET and D.EI.Ed teachers who are currently serving.
Further, as far as relaxation of age is concerned the teachers sought the consideration of those teachers from Garo Hills who have been serving since April 27, 2010.
