Conference
The departments of Value Education and Philosophy, St. Anthony’s College, Shillong are jointly organizing a two-day international conference on the ‘Life and Works of Don Bosco’ on November 18 & 19. The conference will be graced by speakers of international reputation and will also provide a platform to the young researchers.
Medical camp
The Lions Club of Shillong in collaboration with NEIGRIHMS, MACS and NSS Unit of Lady Keane College, Shillong, conducted a free eye screening, diabetics and medical checkup cum blood donation camp at Lady Keane College. More than 300 students participated in the camp and about 23 units of blood were collected from the donors.
Telephone adalat
A telephone adalat will be held at the conference room, Office of the General Manager Telecom District, on November 20 at 11:30 am to settle the old building complaint of land line and mobile subscribers. Intending subscribers/ ex- subscribers may attend the adalat to settle old government dues on spot with attractive discount to avoid legal complications in future.
Unclaimed body
One Krishna Gurung (female, 60 yrs) was admitted in the female medical ward of Shillong Civil Hospital on Nov 12 and expired the next day. Relatives of the deceased are requested to collect the body from the morgue of the Hospital within Nov 19, failing which the body will be send for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
