City based Manipuri body holds literary meet

SHILLONG: The 11th annual conference of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya (MSPM) was held here on Saturday.
A number of writers and delegates from various states including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram participated in the event.
President of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Manipur, Thoidingjam Tombi was the chief guest on the occasion while Additional Director General, Ministry of Forest and Environment, Anil Kumar was the special guest.
Four literary awards-the Kavi Ratna award, Sahitya Ratna award, Kavya Bhushan award and Sahitya Bhushan award– were conferred during the conference even as six books written by four authors were released.
The 11th edition of “Mangaal”, the annual souvenir of the Parishad, was also released during the function.
