SHILLONG: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement Youth Wing undertook an inspection of the shops at Police Bazaar and found that the shopkeepers were unduly charging high rates taking advantage of the festive season.
Alleging that soaring prices have affected the poor, the KHNAM urged the people to ask for cash memo to prevent them from being cheated and at the same time directed the shops to refrain from charging higher rates on the goods.
