Firm dupes man of Rs 12 lakh

SHILLONG: One Shootingstar Nongsiej who had deposited a sum of Rs 12 lakh with a Lucknow based company was unable to encash a cheque given by the firm when he asked for his money to be returned.
Nongsiej lodged a complaint that during the month of January and February this year, he had deposited Rs. 12,02,250  as a security deposit with a  company named  M/s Justpay Solutions (P) Ltd., Lucknow (UP) as part of a business deal.
However, when the complainant realized that the aforementioned company was not in a position to start the business, he asked it to return the security deposit. The company issued a cheque for Rs. 8, 96,625 but the same bounced and could not be processed due to insufficient funds.
