Parliamentary Secretary Robinus Syngkon hands over a soil card to a farmer during a function organised to mark the the International Soil Day at Chutwakhu Indoor Stadium, Jowai on Saturday. The day was also observed in Tura where Joint Director of Agriculture, West Garo Hills, Jebelline R. Marak and North Tura legislator and Parliamentary Secretary in charge PHE, Noverfield R. Marak addressed the local farmers on the occasion. As many as 250 odd soil health cards containing vital chemical data of the soil at different Blocks of West, East, North and South Garo Hills, were also distributed. A similar function was held at Ampati.
