SHILLONG: The KSU’s South West Khasi Hills District unit has set a 48-hour deadline for suspected rebels to release coal dealer Dinarsing Syiemlieh.
The decision was taken during a public meeting organised at Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills called by the KSU and the Lyngngam Indigenous Federation. While police had earlier claimed that Syiemlieh was kidnapped by Bangladeshi criminals, the pressure groups had said that it was the handiwork of Garo militants.
