Red Oleanders’ tribute to Soso Tham

SHILLONG:  Red Oleanders, a cultural organization paid tribute to Khasi bard U Soso Tham on the occasion of his 75th death anniversary.
During a function organized by Arts and Culture department at U Soso Tham auditorium on Friday, members of Red Oleanders sang a group song in Bengali which was the translation of Soso Tham’s poem Ki Mawlinnai (pearls). A creative group dance to a Hindi song translated from another poem of Soso Tham U Simba la leit (the bird that is free) was also performed on the occasion. While Reeta Ghosh translated both works from the poems of Soso Tham translated to English by Kynpham Sing Nongkynrih, Sukla Dam composed the music of the Bengali song.
