NER trek conducted by NCC concludes

SHILLONG:  61 Meghalaya Girls battalion NCC under the aegis of Shillong Group Headquarter conducted the NER trek for 8 days commencing on December 10 at Assam Rifles Public School, Laitkor.
The trek was attended by approximately 450 NCC boy cadets and 14 NCC officers from all over the country. The trek concluded on December 17.
The cadets trekked Shillong peak, Elephant falls, Sweet Falls, Smit Village and an educational tour to Don Bosco Museum and Assam Rifles Museum.
The aim of the trekking camp is to develop the spirit of adventure and sportsmanship among the cadets and to create awareness of diversity of customs, beliefs and cultures of various states of the nation.
To promote healthy competition among the cadets, Group song and dance, debate competitions were organized. Maj Gen SPS Kohli , ADG NER Dte flagged off the trek.
