Abductee rescued

SHILLONG: Police on Monday rescued a person who was abducted by miscreants in North Garo Hills.
According to police, two unidentified miscreants abducted one Md. Mofidul Islam of Belderghat, Krishnai, Assam, from Thapa Dajonggre in North Garo Hills.
On receipt of information, Police rushed to the place of occurrence and rescued the victim from a forest near Thapa Dajonggre.
However, the miscreants managed to escape.
