Seven-year-old raped by step father
On December 23 at around 7.30 pm, one Rohen Sangma (46) raped his seven-year-old step-daughter at Reking village North Garo Hills.
Three arrested for theft  
A woman Chiranjita Bhuyan lodged a complaint that on December 27 at around 4.15 pm, three persons namely, Pappu Sarki (22), Rohit Chettri (18) and one 12-year-old juvenile stole her bag containing HDFC Bank ATM Card. Police arrested the all three accused.
Cash stolen
On December 27 evening, unknown miscreants stole Rs 20,000 and household items from the house of one Janice Anne Nongrum at Lumsohphoh village under Nongpoh in Ri-Bbhoi
Four arrested, pistol recovered  
On December 25 at around 8.30 pm, Police arrested four persons  Banlambok Shangdiar (22),  Vivell Thabah (21), Kyntiewborlang Pangniang (24) and Pidyson Pdahsiej (24) while they were moving in a tourist taxi (ML-06-7313) with an intention to commit crime at Mawruhsyiar village (WKH). Police recovered/seized one country-made pistol from their possession.
Husband assaults wife
A woman, Nitorish R Marak lodged a complaint that her husband Jiu R Marak threatened her and her children with dire consequences on December 24  in their house at Rynjah, and at around 6.45 pm assaulted her. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
